Bringing together an exclusive group of third-sector leaders to develop their leadership capabilities, share best practice and inspire them to be fearless, be inclusive and be significant.

Given the current cost of living crisis, there is an increasing need to bring together top charity leaders and work with them to ensure we meet the needs of their employees and beneficiaries,  and help sustain the future of their charities. We need a forum to debate best practice and ensure our leaders today can connect with their teams tomorrow. Even before the pandemic the notion of leadership was changing – empathy and authenticity are now recognised as critical leadership traits.

Many old-style leadership courses and events are outdated, overpriced, and offer little more than a glorified networking event. They are limited to senior corporate leaders with deep pockets and are out of reach for our most creative and inspirational third-sector leaders. The organisers typically provide limited coaching or ideas and lack the ability to flex their agenda to meet current business challenges.

A great value and exclusive “Show up” leaders club, you can only attend if you’re bringing something significant to the table – and this is personal, you must be willing to share your own experiences amongst friends.

Consisting of 6-8 people, we uniquely recruit an optimal mix of leaders from all backgrounds and charity sectors. We interview everyone prior to the programme to ensure that this is the right programme for the right person at the right time. The focus is on quality interaction rather than having too many attendees.

Open to all current, aspiring or transitioning third sector Chief Executives seeking to change their leadership style or grow as leaders.

The 10-session leadership accelerator incorporates a mix of 7 group sessions and 3 personal coaching sessions. The time commitment is manageable, just 2-4 hours across each month for 6 months, completely virtual although we expect to incorporate in-person sessions when relevant.

We will aim to meet as a group from 4-6pm initially for an introduction and chemistry session on 15th March, with the core sessions on the following Wednesdays – 12th & 26th April, 10th May, 7th & 21st June and 5th July 2023, with personal coaching sessions to be scheduled on an individual basis after session 1, mid-programme and following completion of the final session.

“Through [working with BSignificant] I realised that…I had a strong but kind and collaborative voice and included others in the decision-making processes. I also realised that over time…I had lost the ability to use that voice with others and instead relied heavily on my own abilities…and that I need to start delegating more. I would highly recommend this course to anyone, at any stage of leadership. I am certain you will gain insights you hadn’t realised before and find solutions that will empower you in your leadership role.”

“I wanted to begin the year with start and try something new, rather than the courses that you see banded about regularly. [BSignificant provided] a relaxed, open forum to learn, listen and also feel validated within while being constructively challenged in your own working methods. [The programme] is a great way to alleviate imposter syndrome by helping you unpick what leadership actually is at its root. [I now] see challenges and opportunities that willingly shift me out of my comfort zone.”

Pete Wallworth, Founder/CEO, Mummys Star; BSignificant CEO Leadership Accelerator Alumni)

“[Before working with BSignificant], I was too busy to think [and had lost} a bit of direction. [Now] I’m still busy, but with a clearer strategic plan for both myself and the organisation. [With their support, it was game-changing to come] to the understanding that I am doing OK, in fact better than OK!”

Charlotte Williams, BSignificant CEO Leadership Accelerator Alumni

“With [BSignificant’s] support I was able to see that the challenge I was experiencing in my job had more to do with the board’s lack of clarity over its purpose, vision and mission and their reticence to address this, than my leadership capability. This was a crucial time for me, and I felt that BSignificant gave me the confidence to walk away with a growing belief in myself and my potential and I’m excited by all that lies ahead to achieve.”
